PASOLS (the Pacific Area Senior Officer Logistics Seminar):
PASOLS is an annual meeting sponsored by Headquarters United States Pacific Area Command (HQ PACOM). It is an apolitical, multinational, multiservice and defence departmental forum for senior logistics officers from the Asian, Pacific and Indian Ocean regions to exchange and discuss new ideas and review logistics initiatives introduced by their regional neighbours.
Each member of PASOLS, and a small group of observers, is invited to the annual meeting, normally in August or September each year, hosted by a member nation on behalf of all in rotation as members' resources allow.
The traditional format of the meeting is
PASOLS has a Planning Group (the PPG) which meets annually, usually in April, to plan the PASOLS work programme and annual conference.

PASOLS has a long history, commencing with its establishment as a US Army Pacfiic Command initiative in 1971. Details of the history are to be found in the PASOLS Brochure Much of the recorded history of PASOLS is to be found in the PASOLS Archives. The PASOLS Log Archive holds many back copies of the now discontinued biannual PASOLS magazine.
