Emergency Management Information

The following sites contain experience and knowledge (and some lessons learned) from a variety of international emergency management agencies.

The United Nations Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs site contains, amongst other things, directories of international relief organisations, contact points, registers of disaster resource stockpiles and much other data of value in disaster management planning and operations.

Emergency Preparedness Canada: A Canadian Government site containing research information, preparedness data and links to other sites.

EPIX - Emergency Preparedness Information Exchange  A Canadian civil site which contains much information and some 9 pages of links to other sites in North America and the world.

Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management  A New Zealand site containing much of New Zealand's knowledge of earthquakes preparedness, a bibliography, copies of the NZ Civil Defence Act and Emergency Plan etc. Some links to other sites.

Federal Emergency Management Agency  (United States) the US FEMA Disaster Management Site.

Emergency Management Australia - a very comprehensive site of the Australian Government's emergency management plans - again with many links to Australian and overseas sites.
